I was starting to ...Damn, boy, it's about time. I was starting to worry. It looks like you took the extra time to write an exceptional post. Lots of comments.

The Outlaw Vvern reviewed the new BAD LIEUTENANT last week. Between you and him, I added the original with Harvey Keitel to my NetFlix list. That sounds like the one I'd like.

I never thought much of Robert Ryan until I saw him in THE WILD BUNCH. He was on his way out when I started paying attention to such things, but he came as close to stealing that movie as anyone could. Then I'd see him in other things and came to appreciate him.

I was hoping to hear better things about MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS; it seems like a perfect Clooney vehicle. I'll still see it, because it apparently passes the Jeff Bridges test.

I never saw Brian Keith enter a movie and not start smiling. One of my all-time favorite character actors.

Burt Reynolds became a caricature, but there were some things he did very well. He was excellent at low key comedy, and his performance in DELIVERANCE is a highlight.

Is there anyone working in movies today better or more diverse than the Coen Brothers? They have to stack up with the all-time greats, considering the wide range of excellent films they've made.Dana Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01350344882342624735noreply@blogger.com
